Kyle Miller is an 2017 Arizona State Champion who loves the adrenaline and the rush of competing against other fast riders and winning! He’s 13 years old, in the eighth grade and enjoys social studies and science along with his racing.
Kyle races the 85 12-13 age class and Supermini, but big bike racing is definitely in his future. He currently races a KX 85, but I’ve seen some big bike purchases for his future racing career, along with a new motovan in his family.
Racing began for Kyle when he started getting bored with only practicing and wanted to race like his older brother. Besides his brother being his favorite rider, he also likes to watch Ken Roczen and Ryan Villopoto.
Kyle enjoys riding and racing at Aztec Raceway in Colorado Springs because the dirt is so nice and the track flows. When asked about any special memories Kyle says his best memory is his first race on his KTM 50 when he was in the beginner class and beat everyone including the advanced riders. Kyle is definitely fast on his Kawasaki,
but has had a few setbacks in the form of injuries. At the present time, he’s out with a broken wrist, which happened while he was practicing for the Amateur Supercross; the prognosis is that it will heal fully and he’ll be back riding very soon. He has also broken his right arm twice and his left arm once along with the tibia in his left leg. Kyle sure bounces back quickly though - just like the wrist it won’t keep him down.
Kyle’s goals for 2018 are to try and qualify for the famous Mammoth Mountain Motocross in California, along with Loretta Lynn’s, and also to race in as many other states as possible (which looks promising with the new family race van).
Sponsors are important, and Kyle would like
to thank Mom and Dad (of course!, Dunlop, GoPro, Matrix Concepts, Acerbis, Fuel clothing, 100 Percent Moto, Five18Designs & Race Tech Suspension. Look for Kyle ripping around the track - e has the will power and attitude to make big things happen in his future! Plus, he sometimes fills in and helps do some announcing! v
