Madrid also took advantage of a Morris mistake and drove to the inside of turn three for the runner up spot. Madrid began to cut into Moffett’s advantage in heavy lapped traffic, but a caution for
a spin in turn three would slow action and bring the field back to Moffett’s rear bumper. However, with clear track in front of him, Moffett again jumped out to a three-kart length advantage within
two laps of the green flag returning to the speedway. Morris regrouped and muscled his way back by Madrid in turn three to reclaim second spot for good. As Madrid’s mount began to smoke and fade somewhat, Ricky Noyes put on a charge from his tenth starting spot and hounded Madrid for the final podium position. Noyes got to Madrid’s inside and made the pass stick as the white
flag appeared for Moffett. Moffett cruised to the checkered flag, followed
a straightaway back by Morris, Noyes, Madrid, and Romero. Cavaleri, Chuck Buckman, White, Josh Davis, and Zach Madrid rounded out the top ten finishers taking home a piece of the purse payout.
